Citroën’s weight increased for Hungaroring following suspected calculation error
The Citroën C-Elysée WTCC race cars will carry 60kg of compensation weight this weekend in Hungary, instead of remaining on 50kg as previously announced.
Although no formal announcement about the change has been made, it’s believed the adjustment is due to a calculation error of the original averaged fastest lap times for Citroën. This is after the new weight list has changed Citroën’s deficit during the first two races from three-tenths of a second, to two-tenths off the pace from Honda and Volvo.
All other weights and time differences are unchanged, with the Volvos and Hondas the pace-setters so far, and so will carry 80kg each, while the Chevrolet and Ladas remain on 0kg of compensation weight for Hungary.
