Bernardo Llaver: “I was getting bored in the car”

After finishing in second place in Termas de Río Hondo’s Super TC 2000 feature race, Bernardo Llaver of Chevrolet YPF stated he didn’t feel comfortable when driving in order to manage his soft tyres.

“We started in really bad conditions after the engine failure from yesterday, but we managed to overcome from this. I was sure that the car was going to have good pace,” said Llaver to TouringCarTimes.com.

Llaver had made good use of the soft tyre set during Saturday’s qualifying session and qualifying race, where he finished in third behind his team-mate Agustín Canapino and Citroen Total Racing’s Esteban Guerrieri.

With that, he struggled to manage his tyres last during the Sunday feature race.

“I had to take extra care of my soft tyres, which I used during most part of the race, I was even bored in the car, because I had to slow down my pace to keep them alive. On the very last turn before entering the pits I felt a tyre about to blow up, when I had started to close down on Guerrieri. So I pitted at the right time,” said Llaver.
