Esteban Guerrieri glad to be back on pace with Citroën

Esteban Guerrieri spoke to TouringCarTimes.com about his strong qualifying race in Termas de Río Hondo, with his factory-prepared Citroën C4 Lounge.

The Citroën Total Racing driver finished second and holds high hopes for Sunday’s feature race.

“The team has done an amazing work analyzing every single detail from the first four races, and we’re competitive as we were in the first race. We had three difficult rounds, but we are strong again and it feels great,” said Guerrieri to TouringCarTimes.com.

“The car has much better balance, braking performance has been improved and I could feel we had a very good pace already in practice sessions.”

Tyre choice is key for the feature race, with the choice of soft and hard tyre compound available for the drivers.

“I think we can get a lot of the soft compound tomorrow, but it depends on which one we use to start feature race. I tried to push hard on the front tyres today to see how these softs responded, but they did perform well. Using these soft tyres can outcome in much better races, with a harder compound you always depend on how much grip the car can get. Today the limit was higher,” concluded Guerrieri.
