Matías Rossi: “We must take care of the Chevrolets”

Toyota Gazoo Racing Argentina’s Matías Rossi finished second in the first Super TC2000 at the Santa Fe Street Circuit behind the Renault of Facundo Ardusso, but says that the real threat comes from the Chevrolets.

“We must take care of the Chevrolets, both Bernardo Llaver and Agustín Canapino were very quick today but couldn’t show that in the race. They can beat us tomorrow, so we’ll work for that,” said Rossi to TouringCarTimes.

The Toyota driver is aiming to step on top of the podium in the second and final race on Sunday, still facing some unknowns regarding the brakes due to the new track layout for this year.

“The race today was really nice, despite we would have liked to win. Second was a good result, but if we work a bit harder, we can go for the win. Brakes will suffer a lot, much more than today, so we don’t know what will happen,” said Rossi.
