Argentinian Super TC 2000 and Brazilian Stock Car target joint rounds for 2018

The organisations of Argentinian Super TC 2000 and Brazilian Stock Car Series met in Buenos Aires to work on a project to share two rounds in 2018.

“It’s great to be back in Argentina after such a long time, we’ve made good contact with the Super TC 2000 promoters, which are new in charge, like we are,” said Stock Car director Rodrigo Matias to TouringCarTimes.com.

The meeting was focused on the possibility of sharing two race weekends in 2018 in both countries, Argentina and Brazil.
“Logistics is the main issue – we had our trucks in the customs for 12 days in order to be allowed into Argentina, every tool or screw from every team had to be checked and registered. We hope not to take that long to return to Brazil, we race again in three weeks!” said Matias.

Super TC 2000 president Antonio Abrazian added: “This is not only to try to see if it works in 2018, we want to build an alliance that allows both of us to share rounds more easily in the future. Our next step is to analyze the financial and logistics procedures that Stock Car has done to come to Buenos Aires this weekend. Later on, we’ll come up to investors and sponsors with the project and try to get their support.”

While no specifics on circuits have been revealed, Stock Car director Matias hinted at Curitiba or Sao Paulo for the Brazilian round.
