Facundo Ardusso: ”Rain would be like shuffling the cards again”
After claiming pole position for the Super TC 2000 200 km race in Buenos Aires, Renault Sport’s Facundo Ardusso remain calm ahead of the race despite it likely to be wet in stark contrast to the dry qualifying.
“If rain comes for the race, it will be like shuffling and dealing the cards again. We’ll all lose every reference we collected during the weekend,” said Ardusso to TouringCarTimes.com.
Despite that, the 29-year-old is confident ahead of the race, aiming to consolidate on his pole position, also keeping a firm eye on the championship.
“We’re in a very strong pace, we proved that all day long. During both practice sessions we managed to tune the car for a solid pace, enough for pole position. Werner is behind me and will push a lot. There are another 40 points in play, we must think a good strategy, not everything has been defined yet,” said Ardusso.
The Renault driver is sharing car with Ricardo Risatti for the 200-km race where the co-driver has to complete at least 14 laps.
“I will try to drive as many laps as I can. I trust a lot in Ricardo Risatti, my co-driver, but every time I receive another driver in races like this, I want to take away as much pressure as possible from them,” said Ardusso.
