Honda on maximum weight as WTCC resumes in China

The Honda Civic WTCC race cars will be on maximum weight as the World Touring Car Championship resumes next weekend in China, based on their performances since Argentina.

“The car will be heavier, which is not helping us. But regardless of the weight I expect us to be strong,” said Honda driver Norbert Michelisz.

The average lap times from the last three race weekends has got the Hondas fastest, closely followed by the Volvos while the Citroën cars drops to third.

Honda will carry 20kg more compared to the previous race in Argentina, Volvo will carry 10kg more while Citroën drops 30kg. The weights for the Chevrolets and Ladas will remain the same at 0kg of compensation weight.
