Tiago Monteiro: ”I am confident that I can recover in time”

Tiago Monteiro is currently awaiting a final medical examination next week to see whether he is fit to race after his massive crash in testing and the Portuguese is confident that he can.

”I am confident that I can recover in time, I have done everything I can to be as ready as possible, but I also know that the final decision lies with the doctors, so I will continue to work hard because my body has responded the best way it can with the treatments I’ve had in recent weeks,” said Monteiro.

”It has been very tough but I’m hoping to be on the starting grid of the Chinese races. I will face this medical test with serenity as I want to resume the rest of my scheduled competition program.”

The 2017 WTCC Race of China takes place next weekend at Ningbo International Speedpark on October 14-15th.
