Wuhan set to be announced as a second China venue

The World Touring Car Cup is set to visit China twice in two weeks for its inaugural season, with Wuhan due to be announced as holding a street race on October 7th, a week after the WTCR visits the Ningbo International Speedpark, which hosted its first race just six months ago for the WTCC.

The street circuit in Wuhan will be the same street circuit which hosted a round of the China Touring Car Championship in November last year, where the races were won by Zheng Zhen Dong and former WTCC champion Rob Huff, both racing for the Volkswagen factory team.

The event is set to be supported by the CTCC and the TCR China series when the WTCR visits the Chinese circuit a week after its first visit to Ningbo.

The full calendar is set to be announced by the WTCR later this evening.
