Three Hondas found to have breached boost limits in Slovakia Qualifying 2

The Hondas of Benjamin Lessennes, Tom Coronel and Esteban Guerrieri have been found guilty of breaching the boost levels, similar to the same issue which affected Hyundai yesterday.

An FIA bulletin confirmed after qualifying that cars 9, 63 and 86 were found “not respecting the maximum boost pressure of the BoP chart for the event.”

Following the same transgression yesterday, the Hyundais of Norbert Michelisz, Thed Björk and Yvan Muller were excluded from qualifying and sent to the back of the grid, although that decision wasn’t communicated until 00:30 that night.

With Qualifying 2 and Race 2 just 2.5 hours apart, there’s no confirmation as yet of any action to be taken, and no final grid published, even though the start of Race 2 is scheduled for 19:00 CEST.
