Facundo Ardusso confident for victory from pole position
Renault Sport driver Facundo Ardusso is confident ahead of the 200-kilometre Super TC 2000 race in Buenos Aires that he will start from pole position.
“I have faith in winning the race, we are strong enough to do a great job, I do expect to celebrate,” said Ardusso to TouringCarTimes.
The reigning champion is 19 points behind Chevrolet YPF driver Agustín Canapino who currently heads the standings.
“Our target is the championship, I trust a lot in my car and my team. We ran a test before going to Termas de Río Hondo, we improved a lot in there. Our communication with the team has improved, things are better,” said Ardusso.
“When tyres wear out, the racing pace will equalise between all lot us. Now I need to work with my engineers on finding a more neutral setup for tomorrow. We got the maximum performance from our tyres today, of course, we must switch to something different for the race.”
