Néstor Girolami pushing for STC2000 and WTCR programme in 2019

Néstor Girolami is pushing for a double programme in 2019, racing full time in the WTCR and the Super TC 2000.

“When I entered WTCC I meant to stay, but we couldn’t find an opportunity for the WTCR in 2018, however it’s always been a dream to race in Europe,” said Girolami to TouringCarTimes.

The Argentinian raced for Polestar Cyan Racing in the 2017 WTCC but returned to racing in Argentina with Peugeot this season.

“I had a great time racing for Polestar Cyan Racing alongside Thed Björk and Nicky Catsburg, I visited last WTCR round in Suzuka and I could say ‘hi’ to everyone in the paddock,” said Girolami.

Girolami joined fellow Argentinian racer Esteban Guerrieri for the WTCR round in Japan in search for a drive next year.

“I will take my time to analyse every possibility. I will consider any offer that might come in the future,” said Girolami.
