Honda confirm its return to Super TC 2000

Honda has confirmed its return to the Argentinian Super TC 2000 championship with a factory backed programme. RAM Racing, that ran one car for Esteban Guerrieri in the Buenos Aires round last year, will run the programme with the Civic model.

“We won four titles and got over 80 victories in TC2000 with Honda, we’re proud to be working with them again. We’re very enthusiastic about this new challenge”, said team owner Victor Rosso.

Honda were last present as an official team in 2013 with RAM Racing, just before the championship introduced the current Radical V8 engines. The Japanese manufacturer has so far claimed one victory in the championship, with Ricardo Risatti claiming the honours at Rìo Cuarto, Córdoba.

The team has confirmed four cars and the identity of two drivers in the form of Santiago Mallo, who was the co-driver for Guerrieri in the team’s sole appearance last year, and Juan Angel Rosso, son of team owner Victor Rosso.

Rumoured drivers for the remaining two seats include Manuel Mallo, the older brother of Santiago Mallo, and Jose Manuel Urcera.
