Frédéric Vervisch handed jump start penalty in Morocco

Comtoyou Racing’s Frédéric Vervisch has received a ten-second penalty for a jump start in Morocco, which drops the Belgian from 13th to 17th.

The Belgian’s penalty is the only post-race penalty so far, with the clash between Comtoyou Cupra driver Tom Coronel and Sébastien Loeb Racing Volkswagen driver Mehdi Bennani still under investigation.

With the points now going down to 15th, Vervisch drops out of the points, with BRC Hyundai’s Augusto Farfus and WRT Audi driver Gordon Shedden benefitting, as well as PWR Racing’s Mikel Azcona, who now scores points on his WTCR debut.
