Honda on maximum weight as compensation weight comes into play

The Honda Civic TCR has been the fastest car in the first two FIA World Touring Car Cup race weekends of 2019 and will run on maximum compensation weight (60kg) in this weekend’s races at Slovakiaring.

Three cars were two tenths behind the Honda in the form of the Lynk & Co 03 TCR, the Audi RS 3 LMS and the Cupra TCR. The three models will have 40kg of compensation weight in Slovakia, a reduction of 20kg as all cars ran on 60kg of compensation weight for the first two races.

The Hyundai i30 N TCR was three tenths off the Honda in the first two races and will receive a reduction of 30kg for Slovakia.

The Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR was one tenth further behind and will have 40kg removed for a total of 20kg of compensation weight.

Slowest car in the first two races was the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce with an average lap time that was six tenths off the Honda Civic TCR. The Italian cars will run 60kg lighter in Slovakia.

There has been no changes made to the Balance of Performance parameters for the races in Slovakia.
