Yann Ehrlacher dropped five spots following qualifying penalty

Yann Ehrlacher will start this afternoon’s race at Zandvoort from ninth place, after the Cyan Racing driver was pinged for blocking the BRC Racing Team Hyundai of Augusto Farfus in qualifying.

The Lynk & Co driver had qualified in fourth position as part of a top four lockout for the Chinese marque, but a post-qualifying investigation has seen the Frenchman receive a grid penalty for impeding Hyundai’s Augusto Farfus on his qualifying run.

As a result, Mikel Azcona is promoted to fourth in his place in the PWR Racing Cupra TCR, with Sébastien Loeb Racing’s Benjamin Leuchter taking his best qualifying of the season with fifth.

The race is scheduled for 14:35 CEST.
