Balance of Performance hits Lynk & Co, Honda and Hyundai

The WSC Group’s technical department has released the latest balance of performance figures for TCR machinery, which will see Lynk & Co, Honda and Hyundai all hit with additional weight.

The new figures, which come into play with immediate effect, see the three cars handed an additional ten kilos of weight, which will see the Honda Civic Type R FK7 and the Hyundai i30 N TCR taking up to a minimum racing weight of 1285kg.

The additional weight in the Lynk & Co 03 means that the car will now run at a minimum of 1305kg – the only car above the 1300kg mark.

The Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce has been handed a weight break of 20kg which means it will now run at 1225kg, with the Opel Astra handed a similar drop that means it will now compete at 1245kg.

The minimum racing weights are before any compensation weight is applied.

The MG6 TCR that makes its maiden race appearance this weekend will not carry any balance of performance ballast but will carry 60kg of compensation weight, with the two cars in the TCR Asia/China event at Zhejiang not eligible for points.
