Agustín Canapino says brake balance changes will be key for feature race

Agustín Canapino of Chevrolet YPF finished second in the Super TC2000 qualifying race of the Buenos Aires season opener, but stated he struggled to chase race winner Matías Rossi due to brake balance issues.

“I tried to get as close as I could, but I locked my brakes many times, it’s because of our setup. We’re looking for an improvement of the balance in order to be stronger tomorrow,” said Canapino to TouringCarTimes.

“I followed Matías giving all I had, but it was not enough. Still, I’m really confident about the race car that I have for tomorrow.”

The Chevrolet driver also commented the new aero package for the 2020 season: “It’s a lot more demanding, it’s the first time on track for these cars so we must keep working and developing the setup.”

Canapino will start the feature race of tomorrow from the front row behind Rossi.
