Néstor Girolami “really frustrated” after battle with Esteban Guerrieri

Münnich Motorsport drivers Néstor Girolami and Esteban Guerrieri had a tough battle for fourth position in the final stages of the first Slovakiaring World Touring Car Cup race. A battle that left Girolami upset.

“I don’t want to say anything in high RPM, but I’m really frustrated,” said Girolami over the team intercom while heading back into the pits.

“It was clear that I did not have to defend the position and then he attacked. We risked a lot of points for the championship and to win we need to be smart and follow the rules. I need to speak with him.”

Girolami is the best placed driver of the two, currently placed second on 72 points while Guerrieri is eighth on 53 points.

“It was a bit of a misunderstanding in communication, we have already cleared that,” said Guerrieri.
