WTCR practice delayed due to fog
Opening practice for the World Touring Car Cup finale at MotorLand Aragón has been delayed due to heavy fog on Saturday morning.
Free Practice 1 was due to start at 09.30 CET, but has been postponed by at least 45 minutes due to poor visibility and the medical helicopter being unable to take flight.
WTCR organizers continue to reassess the situation, with no word yet as to when the session will eventually start.
The paddock has been greeted by cold conditions this morning at the Spanish venue, which is hosting a second consecutive WTCR round this weekend. Lynk & Co driver Yann Ehrlacher leads the standings going into the title showdown, ahead of Honda’s Esteban Guerrieri.
Update: a revised time table has now been released by WTCR. See below (all times CET):
Free Practice 1: 12.00-12.45
Free Practice 2: 13.30-14.00
Qualifying: 15.00-16.00
