Filippi picks up grid penalty for Björk clash

Luca Filippi has been handed a five-place grid penalty for Race 2 of the WTCR season-finale after clashing with Thed Björk in the first heat on Sunday.

The pair came together at the final hairpin on lap four, with Björk spinning and Filippi having to retire with damage inflicted to his Team Mulsanne Alfa Romeo.

Filippi has since been adjudged by the stewards to have caused the incident, demoting the Italian on the Race 2 grid and awarding him three penalty points.

Filippi was due to start from 19th in Race 2, and thus drops to the very back of the 22-car pack.
