Diego Ciantini replaces Juan Manuel Silva at Honda Racing

22-year-old Diego Ciantini will make his Super TC2000 championship debut in the coming two rounds, replacing Juan Manuel Silva at Honda Racing.

The switch comes as 1999 TC2000 champion Silva has departed for Saudi Arabia to take in the 2021 Dakar Rally and is set to miss the next two rounds of Super TC2000.

Ciantini, son of former professional driver José Ciantini, raced in the Turismo Carretera stock car series this year, finishing 19th overall, having previous raced in the Italian F4 and the Argentinian Top Race championship.

“It will be my debut in Super TC2000 and I have lots of expectations. I’m very thankful to Honda Racing for this opportunity. I hope to do my best in these two rounds and contribute to the team,” said Ciantini.

The next Super TC2000 round takes place in Rio Cuarto, Cordoba, on January 10th.
