Klim Gavrilov plans WTCR entry with VRC-Team

Klim Gavrilov is planning to enter the 2021 World Touring Car Cup with the Russian outfit VRC-Team.

“It was important for us to come to the WTCR with a national team,” said Yuri Gavrilov, father and manager of Klim, to the Russian edition of motorsport.com.

“The team that we have gathered around Klim are very cool guys. We have a lot of knowledge – and we achieve results.”

Gavrilov won the 2019 FIA Motorsport Games Touring Car Cup for Team Russia and raced in the 2020 TCR Russia championship, finishing second overall for VRC-Team in a Hyundai.

The team is yet to decide which car to run in the WTCR, having an Audi RS 3 LMS and a Hyundai i30 N TCR at its disposal, stating that the decision pending the 2021 Balance of Performance.
