10,000 tickets made available for WTCR opener at the Nürburgring

The Nürburgring organisation has opened sales of 10,000 tickets for the 2021 Nürburgring 24 hours weekend where the World Touring Car Cup season start will take place.

“We are pleased that we can finally welcome spectators once again to the 24-hour race. We see it as a result of our good work that this year we can again be a pioneer in this area,” said Nürburgring managing director Mirco Markfort.

“Of course, this entails a high level of responsibility and increased costs, but it is also a great opportunity to provide positive impulses – for the region and the organizers, for motorsport and Nürburgring fans and for the entire event industry. Infection protection is our top priority.”

The organisation states that official approval by the German authorities will follow “in the next few days”.

Spectators will be limited to the stands around the GP circuit and not around the iconic Nordschleife.

All visitors will be required to have a negative COVID test result, have recovered or have or proof of vaccination.
