Honda on maximum compensation weight for Spain

The four Hondas of Münnich Motorsport will be on the maximum compensation weight of 60kg for the FIA World Touring Car Cup races at Motorland Aragón next weekend.

The Hyundai Elantras of BRC, Engstler and Target Competition will run on 40kg of compensation weight and the four Cyan Racing prepared Lynk & Co 03 TCRs will run on 10kg.

The Audis and Cupras meanwhile will run with no compensation weight at all.

Combined with the recent Balance of Performance changes, the Hondas will run 70kg heavier compared to the first two race weekends at the Nürburgring and Estoril, carrying the most weight of all cars on the grid.

The weight difference between the heaviest car (Honda) and the lightest (Cupra) will be 80kg.

The compensation weights are calculated on the average lap times of qualifying and the races from the previous two race weekends.
