Santiago Urrutia handed grid penalty for Race 1

Cyan Racing’s Santiago Urrutia has received a five place grid penalty for impeding another driver during Saturday’s WTCR qualifying session at Pau Arnos.

The Uruguayan left the pits as the blue flag was waved, getting in the way of Comtoyou Racing’s Tom Coronel (Audi RS 3 LMS) who was on a fast lap.

As a result, the stewards found Urrutia responsible for impeding the Dutch, handing the Uruguayan a five-place grid-drop for Sunday’s Race 1.

Due to the reverse grid rule, Urrutia was due to start Race 1 from seventh place on the grid, dropping now to 12th place.
