Néstor Girolami heads Honda 1-2 in Friday test at Anneau Du Rhin

Néstor Girolami topped the Friday FIA WTCR test session at Anneau Du Rhin, heading Münnich Motorsport team-mate Esteban Guerrieri by just 0.078 seconds.

Gilles Magnus was fastest of the Comtoyou Racing Audis in third, just below three tenths from Girolami.

Points leader Mikel Azcona was fourth fastest for Hyundai, 0.666 from the top time, while Tiago Monteiro claimed the fifth fastest time.

Nathanaël Berthon was sixth fastest ahead of Hungarian driver Norbert Michelisz.

Mehdi Bennani rounded off the top eight behind the wheel of his Audi RS 3 LMS II, just over a second from P1.

Next up for the WTCR field is Free Practice 1, starting at 09:30 CEST tomorrow.
