BimmerWorld expand for 2008

BimmerWorld Racing team has spent the off-season filling key roles within the team and adding a strong list of new sponsors and partners to the team in preparation for the 2008 season.
“Racing is a sport that requires us to keep growing and improving,” BimmerWorld owner James Clay said. “After the tastes of success we had last year, we”ve been working overtime to strengthen our team and our partners for the new season.”

New driver to the team will be Nick Esayian, who, driving the No. 34 BMW E90, joins BimmerWorld after many successful seasons with RealTime Racing in a Acura TSX.

Notable sponsor additions to the blue BMW’s are GearWrench, the team”s Official Tool Supplier and Alpinestars, supplier of racing safety apparel for BimmerWorld drivers James Clay, Seth Thomas and Nick Esayian.

With a full-time three car racing program, Clay’s technicians need to work faster than ever to prepare the No.34, No. 36 and No. 38 BMW E90’s between on-track sessions.

To meet the increased demands for street and track car services, BimmerWorld has added two new staff members that, like the rest of the crew, will focus on customer cars during the week and tend to the BMW E90 World Challenge racecars on the weekend.

Additionally, Wayne Yawn was added as BimmerWorld’s new race engineer for 2008. Yawn is a sportscar veteran with design and engineering skills learned from the Grand-Am series with the famed Kudzu Le Mans-style racecar manufacturer.

“I’m really excited about our growth—with our new sponsors, our new crew members, and a formidable driver lineup, we’re preparing for our most aggressive season ever in 2008,” commented Clay. “I can’t wait for the season opener at Sebring!”
