Irish Mike’s to run Herr & Shaffer at Mosport

Irish Mike’s will return at Mosport, after then series leader Todd Buras had to miss Long Beach after being injured and destroying the teams old Jetta.

Todd Buras had secured wins in both races held at the opening round at St. Petersburg, but was unable to compete at Long Beach after wrecking the Irish Mike’s Racing Volkswagen Jetta at Virginia International Raceway in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge series event.

Buras sustained three broken ribs in the incident, and the car wasn’t salvagable.

Irish Mike’s Racing are looking to catch-up in the championship to chief rivals, DG-Spec Scion Racing, taking two Jetta GLI’s for former Mazda driver World Challenge regular Chip Herr & Greg Shaffer at next weeks rounds at Mosport.
