Wittmer takes World Challenge class victory at Toronto
Nick Wittmer, racing at Toronto in both the Canadian & US based World Challenge series this weekend, took the maiden class victory for RealTime Racing’s Honda Civic.
Wittmer, who qualified on class pole for both the World Challenge race for RealTime Racing, and in the Castrol Canadian Touring Car Championship for Lombardi Honda Racing, led comfortably, as championship leader Robert Stout got caught up in an early altercation with the Acura of Brett Sandberg, but recovered to finish third just behind rival Eric Meyer.
In the GTS class, only three cars competed. RealTime Racing’s old stablehorse, the Acura TSX of Peter Cunningham took victory over a lap ahead of the Porsche Cayman-S of Ernie Jakubowski.
