CTCC heads to Shanghai for season finale
The eighth round of the China Touring Car Championship will be held on 6th November at the Shanghai Tianma Shan Circuit, which is the third time the CTCC visits the small circuit this year, also as a support race for the World Touring Car Championship.
While Chang’an Ford FRD is still leading the teams and drivers Championships in the Super Production class after five victories, the victory of Kia 778 Autosport and Lo Ka Chun at the last round in Guangdong has closed things up.
Lo has given up the chance to compete in WTCC Chinese round with his recently acquired Peugeot 308, which means that the battle for the drivers’ championship in the Super Production Normally Aspirated (SPNA) class will be even more insense this weekend.
Han Han of Shanghai 333 Racing will be absent in this season’s finale because of a clash of the China Rally Championship in Lung Yau.
The qualifying will be held at 14:10 (local time) on Saturday 5th November 2011.
