Rue on pole for Shanghai VW 333 Racing at Guangdong

Wang Rue of Team Shanghai VW 333 Racing claimed the pole position for the sixth round of CTCC at the Guangdong International Circuit. Andy Yan and Rainey He from Chang’an Ford FRD Team qualified second and third.

Rue broke the lap record with his lap time of 1:21.421 and secured his first pole position.

Andy Yan and Rainey He clocked 1:21.648 and 1:22.099 respectively, ending up as second and third on the grid. Han Han, who was disqualified in the previous race, qualified fourth with a time of 1:22.263.

The naturally-aspirated Honda Accord of Cheung Hon Bil qualified 5th with Lo Ka Chun in his Kia Forte qualified 8th.
