Andy Yan leads Team AG Group 1-2 in CTM Macau Cup qualifying

Andy Yan of Team AG Group claimed pole position for the CTM Macau Cup. His teammate Nattavaue Charoensukhawatana secured a 1-2 for the team, with 9’s Racing’s Patrick Chan in third position.

Henry Ho of Vang Iec Racing Team claimed fourth position, the highest placed Ford Fiesta ST on the grid. Leong Chi Kin qualified fifth as the top Mini Cooper S driver.

The top five drivers were followed by Macanese drivers Lui Man Kit and Lui Man Fai, both driving for RPM Racing Macau and Cheung Chi Hou rounding off the top eight in his Peugeot RC-Z.

The qualifying session was red flagged once due to an accident between Chou Keng Kuen, driving Fu Lei Loi Racing’s Peugeot RC-Z, and Helder Lam Brito da Rosa in the Dona Maria II corner.

22 drivers passed the qualification maxima, excluding veteran drivers like Lo Hung Pui and Lam Hong Fai, who was unable to record a complete lap during the session.

The CTM Macau Cup race is scheduled for 11:20 CST on Saturday.
