Rainey He takes pole position in Zhuhai qualifying session
Changan Ford FRD driver Rainey He claimed pole position at the Zhuhai International Circuit, outqualfiying the Volkswagen Lamando of Rodolfo Avila, making his CTCC debut, with the Teamwork Citroën of Alex Hui third.
Changan Ford had a mixed session, with Andy Yan qualifying in fourth position, with Martin Cao seventh and Nanjing pole-sitter Dan Wells down in 16th.
The Shanghai VW 333 Racing team also found themselves split throughout the field, with Lo Ka Chun fifth, Wang Rue ninth and Nanjing Race 2 winner Jiang Tengyi 11th.
In the Super 1.6T Cup class race, Leo Yi took his second consecutive pole position in the Kia K3, just over half a second clear of Martin Xie in the Dongfeng Honda Civic, with Jim Ka To qualifying third for Kia.
Race 1 of the Super 2.0T Cup is scheduled for 9:00 CST on Sunday.
