Henry Ho scores his second win of the year on Kia’s home turf

Dongfeng Honda Racing Team driver Henry Ho deprived Kia of a win at the first race of the China Touring Car Championship weekend at the Korea International Circuit, as the two manufacturers went head-to-head in a seven car race in the Super Cup 1.6T class.

The Macanese driver made the most of the reversed grid to take the win by just under two-seconds ahead of Kia’s Leo Yi Hong Li, who will start Race 2 tomorrow from pole position.

Zou Si Rui made it two Hondas in the top three, while championship leader Martin Xie finished fourth in his Honda Civic, extending his championship lead by four points over Kia’s Jason Zhang, who finished the race in sixth position, retiring four laps from the finish.

Race 2 takes place on Sunday at 15:15 local time.
