David Zhu leads first BAIC 1-2-3 victory at Jun Chi

David Zhu claimed the first ever 1-2-3 victory for BAIC in the China Touring Car Championship at the Jun Chi International Circuit today in the Super Cup 2.0T class.

Team-mates Juan Carlos Zhu and Rob Huff finished in positions two and three, just over one second behind the winner.

The Zhu brothers headed the race comfortably from grid positions one and two, while race one winner Huff had to fight his way from eighth on the grid to the final podium spot.

Ford driver Rainey He finished a distant fourth, with VW 333 Racing driver Zhang Zhen Dong rounding off the top five.

BTCC driver Adam Morgan had a tough race, dropping from fourth to finish 16th and former STCC driver Tomas Engström retired from engine failure on lap four.

Zhang Zhen Dong continues on top of the drivers’ championship, three points ahead of Andy Yan who finished sixth in the race.
