Team Rosberg drop appeal over Jamie Green’s exclusion from Hungary

Audi Sport driver Jamie Green’s exclusion from Saturday’s results at the Hungaroring is now confirmed, as Team Rosberg has not officially registered an appeal, effectively withdrawing it.

Team Rosberg had until 22:46 CET on Wednesday 21st June to lodge an appeal in respect of the Briton’s exclusion, which saw him lose seventh place after a technical infringement with the front splitter, with the team initially intending to pursue the matter.

As the team hasn’t appealed the decision, the exclusion and revised results, promoting the following classified drivers in the Race 1, as well as the resulting drivers’ and manufacturers’ standings, are now final.

Jamie Green heads to the Norisring third in the standings, five points adrift of leading fellow Audi driver René Rast.
