Changan Ford FRD launch brand new Ford Focus at Ningbo

The Changan Ford FRD Team have unveiled their all-new fourth generation Ford Focus CTCC car this weekend at the Ningbo International Speedpark, as the team battle to win the 2018 drivers’ and manufacturers’ titles.

The team has brought four new cars for drivers Martin Cao, Rainey He, Andy Yan and new signing Josh Burdon , with the Australian joining the team as their international driver for the final four rounds of the season.

26-year-old Burdon takes over from Zhang Da Sheng and Sunny Wong, who drove the car during the first four rounds of the season, and has previous experience with FRD Team, racing them in the Asian Le Mans Series and the FRD LMP3 Series over the last two years.

The car is based on the saloon version of the new Focus, and has been in development during the summer break to bolster the team’s championship charge, with Cao having taken the lead of the drivers’ title after the last race at the Tianma circuit in Shanghai two months’ ago.
