Birth Racing Project enter Cupra for 2020 TCR Japan

Birth Racing Project (BRP) will enter a Cupra TCR for the 2020 TCR Japan series, marking the first time the Spanish manufacturer is represented in the Japanese series.

BRP ran two cars in the 2019 TCR Japan series for drivers Masayuki Ueda and Hirobon, driving an Audi RS 3 LMS and a Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR respectively.

The team also raced in the 2019 Super Taikyu Series, running an Audi RS 3 LMS in the touring car category of the endurance series an a Mercedes-AMG GT4 in the GT category.

The inaugural TCR Japan series attracted 14 full-season entries, with Honda driver Matt Howson claiming the Saturday Series title and Volkswagen driver Takeshi Matsumoto the Sunday Series title.
