Copeland Motorsports sign Nikko Reger for TC America

Copeland Motorsports has signed Nikko Reger for its 2020 TC America programme.

“This is incredible. I am honored to be racing in TC America with Copeland Motorsports in the Hyundai Veloster N TCR,” said Reger.

“I have known and worked with the guys from Copeland Motorsports since 2015! It has been a while, but I am ecstatic to be back on the team and more excited than ever to go racing in my first season of TC America.”

The 21-year-old is going to drive a Hyundai Veloster N TCR for the team and has set his sights high for the coming season.

“I know Copeland Motorsports is right team, I am the right driver and the Hyundai Veloster N TCR is the right car to go for gold in TC America,” said Reger.

The American claimed the 2018 Global MX-5 Cup title and raced in the IMSA Prototype Challenge last year.

“Nikko is a great driver, and this is a huge opportunity for him,” said team owner Dean Copeland.

“He will be a valuable asset to the team and a great teammate. I am confident he will be up to speed in the TCR pretty quickly and will contend for race wins throughout the year. His racecraft and skills as a driver were proven in his past championship-winning seasons, and we look forward to racing with him on our team and not against him.”
