TCR Japan issues ten-car 2021 entry list

The TCR Japan series organisation has issued its entry list for the 2021 season, featuring ten cars and drivers.

Reigning team champion Audi Team Hitotsuyama is back for 2021, although not with reigning champion Takuro Shinohara. The team will instead field one Audi RS 3 LMS for Yuki Fujii who won the 2020 Audi A1 Fun Cup Japan.

Team Birth Racing Project is back for 2021 with three cars, two Audis and one Cupra for drivers Kejni Suzuki (Audi), Takeshi Matsumoto (Audi) and Hirobon (Cupra).

M-Prototyping Team Stile Corse will expand to two Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR race cars for 2021 with Mineki Okura being joined by Hiroaki Ishiura.

NILZZ Racing is going to field three Audis for Keiichi Inoue and two further drivers that are yet to be announced.

Team Adenau is back for 2021 with Jun Sato driving a Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR, last taking part in the 2019 TCR Japan season.

The 2020 season had seven full-season entries and a total of 14 cars taking part in the series.

The 2021 season starts on April 3-4 at Fuji Speedway for a total of six rounds until October.
