Andreas Pfister back to fight for Single-Make Trophy

German driver Andreas Pfister will return to the FIA European Touring Car Cup this year to fight for the Single-Make Trophy, which he narrowly missed out on last year.

The 25-year-old finished runner-up to Stian Paulsen, at the conclusion of a season long battle between the two drivers and their identical SEAT León Supercopa cars.

The Single-Make Trophy was introduced into the ETCC last year, and allowed for SEAT Supercopas as well as Renault Clio Cup cars to take part in the Eurosport Events run series.

“I´m really looking forward the beginning of the Season in Monza,” said Pfister. “I can´t still wait for the first laps on this great race track. In the last months we did very hard work to be well prepared for this season. Last year we were very competitive, and now I want to be even better than 2012.

“I think our SEAT Leon Copá race car is in good conditions and well set-up, so we can attack from the beginning of the season. We will give our best and I´m very proud to start in the European Touring Car Cup with the colours of Germany.”
