Dušan Borković makes Chevrolet switch for Pergusa

Reigning FIA European Hill Climb champion Dušan Borković will switch from SEAT to Chevrolet for the upcoming round of the FIA European Touring Car Cup at Pergusa.

The 28-year-old Serbian, who won his first race last time out at the Salzburgring, will be the only driver to compete with a Chevrolet Cruze in this year’s ETCC, joining the field of BMWs, Hondas and SEATs in the Super 2000 class.

Borković’s NIS Petrol Racing Team will make the move to the RML-built car, last used in the British Touring Car Championship, which features the normally aspirated two-litre engine which was used in the WTCC up until the 2011 season, in place of the SEAT León TFSI he has been using so far this year which was purchased from Campos Racing.

This will be the second time the Chevrolet Cruze has competed in the ETCC, with Michel Nykjaer the last driver to compete with one in 2011 with Nika Racing.
