Proteam Racing to run Mikhail Grachev at Brno

Proteam Racing will field a BMW 320si for Russian driver Mikhail Grachev at the final round of the 2013 FIA European Touring Car Cup at Brno on October 6th.

Grachev competed at the opening round of the Cup at Monza back in March, then driving for AMG Motorsport, also in a BMW 320si, but will be running with World Touring Car Championship veterans Proteam Racing for the finale.

“I have great expectations for the final races,” said Grachev. “With Proteam I aim for improving my experience, because my goal is to take part in the full ETCC season in 2014.”

Proteam entered a car for Diego Romanini at the Slovakiaring in the ETCC, but have otherwise focussed on the WTCC this season with their BMW 320 TC for Moroccan Mehdi Bennani.

Grachev is currently placed second in the Russian Racing Championship Touring category, 100 points behind AMG team-mate Oleg Pietrykaŭ and 136 points ahead of Lukoil Racing Team’s Aleksei Dudukalo, with two rounds remaining at the Nizhny Novgorod Ring this weekend, with Togliatti hosting the finale at the end of September.
