Andreas Pfister fastest in French warm-up

Andreas Pfister led the way in the 15-minute warm-up session ahead of today’s two European Touring Car Cup races at Circuit Paul Ricard, leading Krenek Motorsport’s Petr Fulín and Liqui Moly Team Engstler driver Davit Kajaia, who were both joint second fastest, just over a second behind.

The Single-Make Trophy cars occupied five of the the top six positions, with TopCar’s Ronny Jost fourth overall, Slovakia’s Mat’o Homola fifth and Montenegro driver Dejan Bulatovic sixth as the cars tackled the 9am warm-up in 25 degrees heat.

Fulín set the first benchmark but Pfister ended the session over a second faster as cars prepared their cars for race set-up following yesterday’s qualifying session.

Pole-sitter Dusan Borkovic only completed an installation run in his B3 Racing SEAT, and therefore didn’t set a timed lap in the session.

Michal Matejovsky was the best placed of the TC2 class drivers in his BMW 320si, while Florian Hildner was the fastest of the three Super 1600 class cars which chose to take part in the session, finising 15th overall and ahead of Ulrike Krafft and Gilles Bruckner.

The first race is scheduled to get underway at 11:10 CET.
