Gilles Bruckner and Petr Fulín given 30-second penalties for incidents

Team LuxMotor’s Gilles Bruckner and Krenek Motorsport’s Petr Fulín have both been given 30-second penalties for contact in the final laps of today’s second European Touring Car Cup race at Paul Ricard.

Bruckner made contact with Aytac Biter’s Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport BMW 320 TC on lap 12, spinning the Turkish driver around. Bruckner’s bonnet was knocked loose the incident and flew-up a lap later, forcing the Luxembourg driver into retirement. He was officially classified four laps down, and the 30-second penalty makes no impact on his overall or class finishing position.

Krenek Motorsport’s Petr Fulín was also given a 30-second penalty for contact with Ronny Jost on the final lap. The two SEAT drivers collided at Turn 3 whilst fighting for fourth. Jost was able to continue on and kept his position, while Fulín dropped to tenth, pitting on the final lap with damage, but crossed the line officially in eighth position overall and seventh in the Single-Make Trophy class.

The penalty drops Fulín to 12th overall, but makes no difference to his class position as he was the last classified driver in the Trophy.
