Fresh from his maiden win of the season in Czech Republic, Mat’o Homola set the pace in the first session at Zolder, Belgium. The Slovakian was almost half a second than title rival Dusan Borkovic, with Ronny Jost in third.

Peter Rikli came home seventh outright and second in the TC2 class, ahead of TC2T leader Aytac Biter, followed closely by fellow Turkish BMW driver Galip Atar. Another Turkish BMW completed the top ten, with Ibrahim Okyay tenth outright in his naturally aspirated BMW 320si E90.
