Norbert Nagy fastest in final ETCC practice session

Zengo Motorsport’s Norbert Nagy put in a last minute flyer to go fastest of all in the final practice session for the ETCC at the Nürburgring, displacing Krenek Motorsport’s Petr Fulín

In a drying session, the top position changed hands throughout, with first Honda’s Peter Rikli holding the target, and continued to improve in the tricky conditions, before the Zengo Motorsport SEAT León Cup Racer of Norbert Nagy went fastest after the halfway mark with a time of 10:41.629.

Krenek Motorsport’s Petr Fulín however put in a late charge to go fastest of all with a time of 10:19.227, before Nagy responded with a time of 10:16.014 after the chequered flag had waved.

Fulín finished second ahead of the Peugeot 308 Racing Cup car of Teddy Clairet, with Rikli Motorsport’s Peter Rikli fourth and Lema Racing’s Igor Stefanovski fifth.

In the Super 1600 class, Ravenol Team’s Nicklas Mackschin was fastest, ninth overall in his Ford Fiesta, 33 seconds clear of his closest class rival, the ETH Tuning Peugeot 207 Sport of Andreas Rinke.

Qualifying is up next at 12:45 CET.
