Petr Fulín concerned about Rikli team tactics on race day

Krenek Motorsport’s Petr Fulín starts the first race in Imola between the two Rikli Motorsport Hondas of Aku Pellinen and his championship rival Kris Richard, and is concerned after qualifying that “ringer” Pellinen will get involved in the title fight.

SEAT driver Fulín has moved one point clear in the drivers’ standings after outqualifying his Honda-equipped rival Richard at the Imola circuit, but starting behind Pellinen is playing on the Czech driver’s mind for Sunday, especially after trouble in qualifying with one of the other Hondas, that of Peter Rikli.

“I am very disappointed about (Peter) Rikli, because on my fast lap he braked me after the first corner and I almost crashed into him,” said Fulín.

“Of course I am one point better (off) but I am not sure about the whole situation because if you imagine the grid, these guys (Pellinen and Richard) will be starting ahead and behind, and that’s why I expect some strategy by them. I am confident (Aku) will do everything to help Kris.”
