Norbert Michelisz and Grégoire Demoustier added to TCR Benelux finale

Norbert Michelisz will pair up with Stéphane Lémeret at Boutsen-Ginion Racing in the Honda Civic at the TCR Benelux season finale at the Circuit Jules Tacheny near Mettet, while fellow WTCC driver Grégoire Demoustier will make his debut with Team WRT this weekend.

Lémeret leads the standings by 81.5 points over the DG Sport Opel Astra pair of Pierre-Yves Corthals and Frédéric Caprasse, and is on course to win the inaugural drivers’ title with the support of Michelisz for the third time this year, but there are still 150 points available over the course of the weekend at the Belgian circuit.

Demoustier joins Maxime Potty, who after three races with Ronnie Latinne as his co-driver, has also had some high profile team-mates in the last half of the season, including TCR International Series champion Stefano Comini, and Loris Hezemans. Potty has an outside shot at the title, 136 points down in sixth, while both WRT team-mates Sam Dejonghe and Denis Dupont have slightly better odds in the best-placed SEAT in the standings, 130 points behind Lémeret.

Former BTCC and WTCC star Vincent Radermecker will also be back on track after missing last weekend’s race at Assen, driving Milo Racing’s Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR, with Stienes Longin, the son of GT veteran Bert Longin, joining him as his co-driver.

There will also be a new manufacturer on the TCR Benelux grid, with Peugeot entering a 308 Racing Cup car for Aurélien Comte and former Belgian Touring Car Series champion Frédéric Bouvy.
